Outdoor Vineyard Wedding | Fred + Nora

So it seems we are settling right in to 2018, Jo and I had an unforgettable 2017 as we welcomed our now 3 month old baby girl into the world who is all kinds of wonderful.  So now we are back to it we are delighted to share this outdoor wedding set amongst the beautiful vineyards of Fred’s family home.

Fred and Nora really did do the Somerset countryside justice with their eye for detail and style.  With friends and family all getting involved and helping to make this day amazing for them.  These guys are clearly well loved and we are grateful to them for making new friends of us too.

Venue (+ wine) – Oatley Vineyard

Florist – Common Farm Flowers

Catering – Quiet Waters Farm

We also photographed Fred and Nora’s couple photographs, you can see those here.

Rebecca + Karl | Brecon Beacons at dawn

The Brecon Beacons at dawn is a magical place.  Rebecca and Karl totally embraced the misty 4.30am start to climb these hills with young Martha their 7 month old Sprippet leading the way.

As well as managing to look breathtaking in the rain with very sleep, this hugely talented pair run the wonderful illustration company Wildflower Illustration Co. where they use their love of nature and the outdoors to bring to life their unique and graceful watercolour illustrations for all occasions.  They also run The Paper Elephant Project using their work to help tackle the “elephant in the room” that is mental health.  Major squad/life goals being achieved right there.

Shooting film

So it seems I maybe a little late to the party when it comes to shooting film.  These images were recently taken on a Pentax K1000 slr and Pentax 645n medium format cameras.  They are sometimes blurred, out of focus, dusty and underexposed/overexposed but their honesty is something else.  And quite simply cannot be replicated by digital.

Check them out…

Emma + Gaz | Alcester wedding photographer

It is hard to write words that express how we see the couples we photograph but in this case Emma took the words right out of our mouths when she shared one of these images on social media…  “We’re silly, we’re stupid and CANNOT resist the opportunity to tease each other… but sometimes…”

Cardwell family

Last week these three kindly let me share a little piece of their morning life, just as it is.  Watching their morning unfold was a pure delight and we are honoured to be able to call these guys friends.  Meet Sarah, Rosie and 3 year old future bakeoff winner Thea.
